Step 1: How to use the University library, general introduction

Audience: Library users not familiar with the service of the University library, especially beginners or students new at the European University Viadrina

Intention: The guided library tour provides insight into the service program and the accomodation of the University library. You will be introduced to the methods of finding books in the library (system of signatories, the local guidance system, explanation of research methods with the electronic catalog OPAC), loaning conditions and general rules and services. You will be introduced as well to the self-service-functions of the OPAC: Password-management, your personal account of loaned media, pre-booking of loaned media, prolonging of loaned media for example.
